rPPG Android App (Non-contact HR)
Real-time CV signal processing on-device with a hybrid Java/C++ architecture.
Mobile Signal Processing Computer Vision
Overview
Built an Android application that uses remote photoplethysmography (rPPG) to measure heart rate through the phone's camera without physical contact. Implemented efficient signal processing algorithms using a hybrid Java/C++ architecture with JNI for performance-critical operations. The app processes video frames in real-time to extract subtle color changes in facial skin and compute heart rate with clinical-grade accuracy.
